Touchwood Play is a leading design and build company creating fully bespoke, custom playgrounds. Our clients include theme parks, zoos, hotels, retail, schools and local authorities. Some of our previous key clients include Universal, Eden Project and National Trust.
We are growing and are looking for a commercially driven Sales Representative to take ownership of a defined target sector, driving awareness, relationships and long-term opportunity generation within that market, and leading opportunities through to close. This is a sector-focused business development role with full ownership of the sales cycle.
You will be responsible for:
- Building Touchwood Play’s presence within a defined industry segment, ensuring key decision-makers know who we are, what we do, and why we are different.
- Owning and developing a defined target sector, building a clear plan to increase awareness and generate opportunities.
- Ensuring consistent visibility of Touchwood Play across your sector through outreach, meetings, events and strategic engagement.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with prospects, nurturing them over months or years into qualified opportunities.
- Creating and managing a structured outbound pipeline using LinkedIn, email and phone to engage target accounts.
- Qualifying opportunities based on project viability, budget and alignment with our offering.
- Leading the sales process from initial brief through to final presentation, acting as the central point of coordination.
- Shaping project briefs, challenging assumptions where needed, and ensuring alignment between client expectations and delivery capability.
- Visiting client sites across the UK to take detailed briefs, photographs, videos and accurate measurements.
- Maintaining accurate records of all activity and opportunities within our CRM system (HubSpot).
Requirements:
- Strong experience in B2B consultative sales, ideally within a long sales cycle environment.
- Experience managing complex sales processes involving multiple internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable leading projects commercially, coordinating designers and estimators to deliver winning proposals.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales.
- Comfortable travelling and working on-site when required.
- Proven track record in a similar B2B sales role involving long sales cycles, relationship-led selling and ownership of deals from initial engagement through to close.
- Demonstrable experience developing a market or sector, building awareness and nurturing opportunities over extended periods.
- Experience managing complex sales processes involving multiple internal stakeholders (e.g. design, estimating or technical teams).
- Comfortable leading high-value opportunities (typically six-figure projects or above) through to successful conclusion.
