Touchstone Education is a leading education provider which changes lives across the UK. We are a fast paced Company where no two days are the same, and due to our rapid growth, have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Social Media to join the team.

As the social media specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing and leading on the Company’s social media strategies to drive brand awareness, engagement and growth. Managing a team of direct reports, you will oversee all social media activity including content creation, campaign management and performance analysis to achieve the Company objectives.

Develop, implement and lead the social media strategy

  • Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy, to be utilised across a variety of different platforms to maximise reach and engagement from target audiences.
  • Utilise social media to build the brand, engage with audiences and drive growth.
  • Identify new social media trends and emerging platforms to enhance the reach and effectiveness of the brand and its services.
  • Develop cross-platform content and posting strategy to maximise reach and engagement with target audiences.
  • Research and implement emerging social media trends to maintain competitive edge, capitalising on new features and trends.

Identify trends and track social media content successes

  • Use data analytics to track, measure and report on social media performance across platforms.
  • Utilise reports to make data driven decisions.
  • Establish KPIs for campaigns and track return on investments to make recommendations on future performance.
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations to senior managers to help guide overall brand and content strategies.
  • Collaborate with content managers and executives to produce innovative and engaging content.

Create audience engagement and oversee community management

  • Cultivate and grow an engaged social media community, creating and encouraging meaningful interactions with followers.
  • Monitor mentions, tags and trends with the social media community to strengthen brand perception and
  • Engage and build rapport with followers, creating a sense of community and loyalty towards the business.
  • Develop consistent branding across all platforms.

Manage campaigns and oversee their execution

  • Oversee the development and execution of social media campaigns, ensuring brand guidelines and objectives are met.
  • Manage social media advertising budgets across campaigns ensuring return on investment.
  • Collaborate with the wider marketing team to support integrated campaigns.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field or qualified by experience.
  • 5 years of social media experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and advertising platforms.
  • Proven track record of developing successful social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret data, translate findings, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • A deep understanding of social media trends, audience preferences, and platform algorithms.
