We're seeking a talented BC AL Developer to join a forward-thinking team working on Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on technical design, development, and deployment, while contributing to platform upgrades and bespoke solution enhancements.
You will collaborate closely with product and technical leads, ensuring solutions meet high standards of quality, scalability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Resolve support tickets and deliver full lifecycle development work.
- Analyse new projects and identify optimal solutions for industry-specific products.
- Produce clear technical documentation and accurate effort estimations.
- Review and approve peer development work in line with Microsoft and internal coding standards.
- Prepare and manage software releases.
- Provide implementation services for Dynamics NAV and Business Central.
- Proven experience developing Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central (NAV 2016 onwards).
- Strong technical programming skills: C/SIDE, C/AL, AL.
- Experience upgrading bespoke NAV/BC solutions, including C/AL to AL migrations.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and ISO27001 standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor junior developers.
- Building bespoke functionality using AL extensions.
- Experience with DevOps/GitHub for task management.
- Automated testing exposure.
- Knowledge of 3rd-party NAV/BC software (e.g., Tasklet Mobile WMS, Continia, Zetadocs).
- Consultancy experience in NAV/BC.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, APIs, XML.
- Experience with Git repositories and ALM tools.
- Exposure to C#, Java, or other OOP languages.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products (SharePoint, CRM).
- Visual Studio experience desirable.
