Production Scientist - Molecular Biology

Gene therapy using viral vectors and gene editing. Autologous and allogenic cell therapy. Touchlight is currently seeking an experienced Scientist to join its Molecular Biology Team to up-scale and purify high quality DNA starting material for dbDNA™. This is an exciting, fast-paced environment suited to initiative-taking individuals, capable of designing and managing their own projects, who can contribute to and successfully work in a multidisciplinary team. A big focus will be on optimising parameters and developing new processes to generate high quality material at various scales, with reproducible results. You will work together in a team of purification scientists and manage several purification projects. At least MSc qualification in molecular biology (or similar discipline) with several years of experience in handling bacterial cultures and working on DNA purification techniques Familiarity with industry quality standards such as cGMP Applicants should be well-versed in gel electrophoresis apparatus for DNA analysis and software for sequence analysis Experience working within a Good Manufacturing Practice ( cGMP ) or Good Laboratory Practice ( GLP ) environment is highly advantageous but not essential We make Touchlight an extraordinary place to work by providing our employees with incredible facilities, flexible working and a competitive benefits and remuneration package.
