An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join the Ealing Early Intervention in Psychosis Service as a Healthcare Facilitator. This vital role focuses on supporting the physical health and wellbeing of individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis, often at a time when they are meeting mental health services for the very first time.
You will be joining a highly supportive, collaborative team made up of professionals from a rich mix of backgrounds and levels of experience, all united by a shared commitment to promoting hope and recovery. The successful candidate will be based at Cherington House, Hanwell W7 3HL. They will be experienced in monitoring physical healthcare within a mental health setting and will have a strong understanding of the risks associated with poor physical health in people living with mental illness. They will be committed to promoting healthy lifestyles and improving access to physical health interventions for all individuals using the service.
The post-holder will be able to provide personalised information, guidance, and education with sensitivity and a non-judgemental approach, adapting their communication to each person’s unique needs, circumstances, and stage of recovery. The role requires a compassionate approach, effective communication skills, and the ability to empower individuals to achieve improved well-being and independence.
Responsibilities:
- The post holder will be responsible for the EIP physical health assessments for all patients on the caseload, as part of the 7 core interventions.

- Strong understanding of risks associated with poor physical health in people living with mental illness.
