About the Role
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Dietician to develop to a Band 7 in Child and Adolescent Mental Health through our innovative and comprehensive training programme which includes formal teaching, experiential learning and supervision. The successful applicant will join the West London CAMHS Eating Disorder Service based in Ealing at 1 Armstrong Way, Southall UB2 4SA.
The Service is a well‑established, expanding multi‑disciplinary team providing evidence‑based clinical treatments to young people with eating disorders across the boroughs of Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith & Fulham. The role is part of a growing team of clinicians, nurses and other specialists dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the CAMHS Development Programme while working within the Eating Disorder Service.
- Work within the intensive treatment community pathway, supporting young people to remain in the community or providing consistent support on paediatric wards.
- Provide outreach support to patients who may find it hard to attend clinics and conduct in‑reach work into Tier 4 services.
- Deliver clinical assessment and therapy to young people (0‑18) and their families/carers.
- Provide specialist dietitian input, conduct individual therapy, short‑term therapy (individual, family, groups) and contribute to Multi‑Family Therapy Groups.
Qualifications & Experience
The person specification outlines the required qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge. Candidates should hold an appropriate dietitian qualification, have experience working with children and young people, and be able to work effectively within a multi‑disciplinary team. The training programme supports development to a Band 7 role.
