Job Description
Totum Partners is working with a growing law firm to recruit a Legal Cashier. This is a broad, hands-on role that can be full-time or part-time, with three days a week based in the office in Daresbury, Cheshire.
The firm recently joined a listed professional services group, creating opportunities to improve systems and processes while expanding its platform. This role will support the next stage of development.
The ideal Senior Legal Cashier will be responsible for:
Client Invoicing & Revenue Tracking

Liaising with fee earners and the Legal Services Director to prepare monthly billing files

Ensuring all time is accurately recorded

Reviewing the bill run before invoices are issued
Credit Control Support

Taking ownership of the credit control process to ensure timely payments
Fee Earner Support & Matter Management

Monitoring and updating matter budgets

Acting as a finance helpdesk for fee earner queries

Managing WIP
Completion Statements

Preparing and managing completion statements for real estate transactions

Setting up related payments for approval
Purchase Ledger

Taking ownership of the purchase ledger, including fee earner timesheets and billings

Uploading invoices and processing payments
Client & Office Accounts

Preparing reconciliations for both client and office accounts
Systems, Processes & Controls

Supporting the systems migration project

Mapping current processes and identifying improvements

Documenting workflows and supporting user acceptance testing
