We are delighted to be collaborating with a leading global law firm seeking a proactive Senior Business Development Manager to lead their Energy Sector. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership to shape the firm's strategy and drive business expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Director and other Industry Managers to shape the industry programme, drive sector convergence, and lead the EMEA Energy strategy in alignment with global goals.
  • Market Strategy Execution: Develop and implement strategic, market-facing initiatives that support revenue growth and evaluate their effectiveness regularly.
  • Opportunity Management: Use client and market insights to identify growth areas, manage the full opportunity pursuit process, and support high-impact pitches and proposals.
  • Client Development: Build and maintain a targeted portfolio of energy sector clients, create and execute account plans, and cultivate senior relationships to drive growth.
  • Client Engagement: Actively participate in client listening programmes, gather feedback, and adjust strategies to improve service delivery and satisfaction.
  • Campaign & Thought Leadership: Design integrated campaigns and thought leadership initiatives to raise the firm’s profile and generate revenue.
  • Team & Budget Management: Lead and develop aligned team members, manage the industry initiative budget, and track ROI on strategic investments.
  • External Engagement: Strengthen relationships with industry associations and players to boost market visibility and contribute to broader team projects and systems enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Business development or client relationship management experience in a professional services firm.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams, projects, or initiatives.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on execution and problem-solving.
  • Proactive, commercially aware, and able to manage multiple priorities.
