Totum Partners is delighted to be partnering with a leading accounting firm to recruit an Early Talent Business Partner into its growing People team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced early careers professional who is passionate about developing emerging talent and creating an outstanding trainee experience. Working closely with Partners, Directors and senior stakeholders across the business, you will take ownership of the trainee journey from onboarding through to qualification, ensuring individuals are supported, challenged and equipped to succeed throughout their careers.
The role will focus on driving engagement, performance and development across the firm's trainee population, whilst acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on all aspects of trainee management and progression.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary point of contact for trainees, apprentices and key stakeholders throughout the trainee lifecycle.
- Leading the onboarding experience and ensuring a smooth transition into the business.
- Managing trainee development programmes and supporting individuals through professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent.
- Monitoring qualification progress, exam performance and development milestones, providing guidance and support where required.
- Partnering with Learning & Development teams and external providers to deliver a high-quality development experience.
- Building strong relationships with Partners, Directors and line managers, advising on trainee performance, development and progression.
- Supporting wellbeing initiatives and providing guidance on any issues that may impact trainee engagement or performance.
- Leading programme reporting, governance and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant professional body requirements and internal policies.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within an Early Talent, Trainee Development, Graduate Development or Learning & Development role within a professional services environment.
- Experience supporting trainees through professional qualification programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to build credibility with senior leaders.
- A genuine passion for developing early careers talent and helping individuals achieve their potential.
- Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach and a desire to continuously improve programmes and processes.
