Totum is working with a leading law firm to recruit an experienced Biller to join their growing Financial Operations team. This hands-on role provides end-to-end billing support to partners and fee-earning teams, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across high-volume billing cycles.
Hybrid 2 days in the office - 3 days from home
What you’ll do:
- Take ownership of billing processes for assigned partners, producing timely, accurate invoices using Elite 3E.
- Maintain master data integrity for clients, matters, and payers.
- Respond to queries and provide proactive support to fee earners, reducing administrative burden.
- Support month-end and quarter-end billing cycles, ensuring compliance with policies, VAT, and financial procedures.
- Identify process improvements and support finance projects and system enhancements.
- Serve as a key contact for Elite 3E within your partner group, sharing guidance and expertise.
Who you are:
- Proficient in Elite 3E with at least 2 years’ experience in billing within professional services.
- Experience managing high-volume billing, resolving queries, and maintaining compliance.
- Strong Excel and IT skills, with ability to analyse WIP and billing data.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to liaise confidently with partners, fee earners, and colleagues.
- Experience providing billing/WIP guidance to stakeholders.
- Exposure to finance process improvement initiatives.
