This role offers hybrid working - 2 days WFH. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing technology projects to improve efficiency, compliance, and the overall effectiveness of our legal practice while working closely with legal professionals and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and executing project plans, monitoring project progress, identifying deviations, and taking corrective actions to ensure projects are completed successfully.
- Identifying potential project risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Serving as the primary point of contact between legal professionals and the IT team on projects and maintaining clear and open lines of communication to ensure alignment with legal practice needs.
- Managing project budgets, allocating resources effectively, and overseeing procurement of hardware, software, and third-party services.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation, including status reports, issue logs, and project closure reports, and generating regular progress reports for legal management and stakeholders.
- Ensuring that all technology solutions meet legal industry regulations and data security standards, and implementing data protection and privacy measures to safeguard sensitive client information.
- Evaluating how emerging technologies can benefit the legal practice and making recommendations for their adoption.
- Building strong relationships with colleagues across the business.
- Project Management Certification: A recognized project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
- Knowledge of legal industry specific business applications and processes are essential for this role. Direct experience of our particular software application stack is desirable, but experience in similar software will also be welcomed.
- Demonstrable leadership experience, and experience of working in a mid-size professional services organisation.
- A very high level of personal organisation and professionalism is required, together with a 'can-do' attitude and an ability to work to deadlines while under pressure.
- This person must inspire a positive and inclusive work environment and help champion quality, innovation, teamwork and service to the business.
