A brilliant opportunity for an experienced Global Mobility Coordinator to join a leading international law firm. The Global Mobility Team facilitates the movement of their people on short-term, long-term secondments, and permanent transfers to offices worldwide. This role will provide comprehensive case management support.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management: Under the supervision of a Senior Global Mobility Advisor, you will be accountable for end-to-end global mobility cases. This includes providing policy and process advice, scenario planning, cost comparison, and managing secondment documentation.
- Immigration Permissions: Advise and facilitate immigration permissions, including initiating vendors for work permits, visas, and residence permits. Ensure documentation is collected and extensions are tracked.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate vendor services in line with visa approval and relocation start dates. This includes temporary accommodation search and booking, shipment of household goods, home search, settling-in services, and school search in the host location.
- Cost Management: Ensure cost projection estimates are robust, actual costs are recorded, and individual case files are comprehensive to enable other teams (e.g., tax) to carry out their responsibilities.
Team Support
- Monitor the Global Mobility inbox, responding to enquiries or allocating them to colleagues to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain and improve the global mobility tracker.
- Produce data analytical reports on both a regular and ad-hoc basis.
- Process invoices in a timely manner, balancing the firm\’s accounts payable policy with suppliers\’ contractual expectations.
- Leverage technology and mobility management tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Contribute to broader Reward Team discussions to ensure a coherent, effective, and value-adding centre of excellence.
- Support broader reward team projects to deliver the HR strategy.
- Assist other teams during peak workload periods (e.g., salary review).
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge and experience of Global Mobility in a related environment (e.g., HR, Regulation, Tax, or Finance).
- Understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements related to international relocation.
- Experience working cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Compliance teams.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and deadlines under supervision.
- Ability to handle confidential and personal information professionally and discreetly.
- GCSE Maths and English Grade 4 and above or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, personable, and approachable.
- Adaptable and flexible approach.
