Role Overview
The Pitch Executive will be a key member of the Pitch Team, reporting to the Pitch Manager and working alongside colleagues in Business Development. This role is central to supporting fee earners and the wider team throughout the pitch process, from initial strategy to post-pitch review. The Pitch Executive will also drive the use of AI and pitch management tools, ensuring the firm’s responses are consistently high quality and distinctive.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and develop pitch content and materials, including credential statements, RFIs, RFPs, and panel pitches, with input from the business development team.
- Advise on and promote best practice throughout the pitch lifecycle, from go/no-go decisions to post-pitch feedback.
- Maintain and update the firm’s pitch library ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client developments to inform business-winning ideas.
- Gather relevant research and information ahead of each pitch process.
- Review and proof documents to maintain high standards of quality.
- Support pitch reporting and feedback, sharing lessons learned to drive continual improvement.
Person Specification
- Experience in the pitch or bids process, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Ability to manage a busy workload, balancing short-term pitch deadlines with longer-term projects.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Good understanding of best practice in winning new business in the legal sector.
- Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with an enthusiastic and optimistic attitude.
