What the ideal candidate would look like:
- Hands‑on ability to lead a firm through an Azure cloud migration
- Excellent day‑to‑day management of a small team
- Strong project management, using Manage Engine or Jira
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the Infrastructure team, ensuring the firm’s IT environment is resilient, secure, and strategically positioned for transformation.
- Establish an Infrastructure Development Lifecycle (IDLC), maintain ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus compliance, manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and create a technology roadmap to transition to Microsoft Azure.
- Define architecture standards, policies, and automation practices that improve scalability and reliability.
- Monitor and manage security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance audits.
- Lead disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure data protection and operational continuity.
- Oversee all aspects of the firm’s IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of services, including managing servers, networks, storage, and cloud resources that support critical IP applications.
- Promote professional development, operational excellence, and service quality within the Infrastructure team.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience managing Infrastructure & Security within a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, M365, VMWare, PowerShell, ManageEngine, networking (LAN/WAN/VPN), and backup/recovery solutions.
- Experience with IT security frameworks, firewall management, vulnerability management, and SIEM solutions.
- Experience in IT transformation, cloud migration, and risk‑based project delivery.
This role offers hybrid working – 2 days WFH weekly.
