My client, a leading international law firm with a reputation for excellence and an impressive client portfolio, is looking for a proactive and commercially minded Client Development Manager to join their highly regarded Private Client team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in shaping and delivering strategic BD and marketing initiatives that directly support the firm’s partners, fee‑earners and key intermediary relationships. The Client Development Manager will work closely with the Senior Client Development Manager and the wider BD, Marketing & Communications teams to drive forward the Private Client division’s business development priorities. You’ll support practice leads, help convert strategic plans into practical actions, and champion relationship building initiatives across the division.
The key responsibilities include:
- Taking day‑to‑day ownership of the division’s key intermediary relationships
- Leading and supporting BD initiatives aligned to the groups strategic business plan, driving progress and tracking ROI. Communicating success and developments internally.
- Supporting targeting and pipeline activities, and leading on selected client and intermediary programmes
- Project manage the pitch lifecycle for the group
- Campaign management and collateral production, in collaboration with the CRM and digital teams
- Working with the events team to deliver impactful virtual and in-person events
- Conducting targeted research on markets, sectors and organisations relevant to Private Client BD priorities
- Contributing to firmwide BD projects and supporting senior management on key deliverables where needed
The successful candidate for this Client Development Manager role will have experience in marketing and BD gained in a law firm environment, with exposure to Private Client being highly beneficial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with a proactive, ‘can-do’ approach and the ability to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders will be essential for this role.
