My client is a respected business advisory firm, who are well established and highly successful. They have an environment that is creative and dynamic, where you will be encouraged to bring new ideas and challenge the norm. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced, commercially savvy Bid Manager to join the highly regarded existing team based in London.
This Bid Manager role will work across practice groups and sectors to manage bid projects from end to end, designed to secure high-value, strategic work from both new prospects and existing clients, with a focus on quality and profitability.
The remit of this Bid Manager role will include:
- Carrying out background and market research to support pursuit strategies
- Designing and managing bid project plans, collaborating with internal teams at each stage
- Facilitating kick-off meetings to assist in shaping win themes and storyboards
- Drafting Executive Summaries and refining messaging
- Coordinating with design teams to develop bid materials that align with the value proposition
- Ensuring timely production and approval of final proposal and pitch documents
- Performing RFP compliance reviews
- Acting as the main point of contact during the bid process and managing daily operations, maintaining momentum throughout
- Advising internal teams on best practice
- Contributing to continuous development of best practice and bid processes
- Capturing and maintaining bid data, including win/loss outcomes and opportunity scoring
- Sharing knowledge and best practice across the firm through resources, internal communications, and workshops
The successful candidate for this Bid Manager role will require:
- Proven experience in a bids or pursuits role, gained within a professional services environment
- A strong drive to succeed and a commitment to quality in every proposal
- Exceptional stakeholder management abilities and confidence working with senior leaders
- Thorough knowledge of the end-to-end bid process and bid strategy
- A proactive approach to project management, with a keen eye for deadlines and detail
- Excellent written communication and messaging skills
- Confidence to challenge thinking and offer solutions
- A relevant degree or professional qualification is advantageous but not essential
