My client, a globally respected law firm, is seeking a talented and proactive Business Development Manager to support two of its most dynamic and high-profile areas: Sustainability (ESG) and Africa-focused initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, where you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering strategic growth plans across both practice areas. The role offers a broad remit, from campaign development and client targeting to international relationship building and event delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to develop and implement business development strategies across ESG and Africa-related workstreams.
- Identifying emerging sustainability themes and translating them into client engagement opportunities.
- Supporting cross-border collaboration and helping to strengthen relationships with clients, partner firms, and industry bodies.
- Leading on the planning and execution of high-impact events, including roundtables and flagship forums.
- Creating compelling content and marketing materials tailored to key audiences.
- Contributing to firmwide initiatives and working closely with colleagues across business development, marketing, and knowledge teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a business development role within a professional services environment, ideally with exposure to ESG/Sustainability.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to spot opportunities and drive initiatives forward.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in international markets and sustainability.
