Job Description
We are recruiting for an Applications Platforms Manager who can lead the charge in optimising and managing our application portfolio. We are looking for an innovative and strategic thinker to oversee our document management system, ensure seamless data integration, scale our DevOps function, and leverage robotics and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead a team of application specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and external development partners to drive successful project outcomes.
- Platform & Operations Management: Manage and optimize the application portfolio to align with business objectives and technology strategy. Conduct regular assessments of application performance and usage to identify opportunities for improvement and cost optimization.
- Document Management System: Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the document management system to ensure efficient document handling and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Data Integration: Collaborate closely with the Data Management team to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility. Develop and implement data integration strategies and solutions that support business processes and decision-making.
- Manage Development Partners: Collaborate with external development partners to scale and enhance the development function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
- Robotics and Automation: Identify and implement robotics and automation solutions to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency. Evaluate and integrate automation tools and technologies to enhance application management and support functions.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Act as the technical bridge between infrastructure, security, applications, and external vendors. Support security and compliance initiatives, ensuring the platform meets governance and risk management standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in scaling DevOps functions and implementing robotics and automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, or Power Automate).
- Extensive experience in managing and optimizing application portfolios, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for optimization and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead complex projects and deliver results within set timelines.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry trends and advancements in technology.
Central London office – 2-3 days a week in the office is expected.
