We are seeking a confident, flexible and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our secondary school team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students' learning by supervising classes during teacher absence and ensuring continuity of education across a broad curriculum.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be expected to:
- Confidently cover lessons across all departments, including core subjects such as English, Maths and Science
- Be willing and able to supervise practical subjects including PE, Food Technology, Textiles, Art and Design Technology
- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by teaching staff to ensure effective learning
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and maintain a positive, safe learning environment
- Supervise practical activities safely and responsibly, adhering to school policies
- Adapt to different classroom settings, subjects and teaching styles
- Respond positively to last-minute cover requirements, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
- Support and encourage students' engagement and progress across the curriculum
