We are seeking an outstanding and motivated Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion to join our senior leadership team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate leader who is committed to ensuring every student achieves their full potential, particularly those with additional needs. The successful candidate will play a key strategic role in leading inclusion across the school, with specific responsibility for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Disadvantaged students (Pupil Premium and Looked after Children).

As a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will help shape the vision, values, and direction of the school while driving high standards of teaching, learning, and student wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and champion inclusion throughout the school as part of our culture and practice.
  • Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Act as the school’s Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo).
  • Develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies to support all learners.
  • Line manage key staff, including SEND and the PP Disadvantaged Lead.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions on student progress and outcomes.
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement planning and self-evaluation.
  • Work closely with staff, families, and external agencies to support student success.
