We are seeking a confident, flexible and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our secondary school team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students’ learning by supervising classes during teacher absence and ensuring continuity of education across a broad curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Confidently cover lessons across all departments, including core subjects such as English, Maths and Science.
- Be willing and able to supervise practical subjects including PE, Food Technology, Textiles, Art and Design Technology.
- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by teaching staff to ensure effective learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and maintain a positive, safe learning environment.
- Supervise practical activities safely and responsibly, adhering to school policies.
- Adapt to different classroom settings, subjects and teaching styles.
- Respond positively to last-minute cover requirements, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
- Support and encourage students’ engagement and progress across the curriculum.
