Job description
Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English Premier League Club, based in North London.
The Club is seeking a Stadium Assistant Groundsperson to assist with the maintenance of the Club’s Stadium pitches.
JOB PURPOSE:
- To assist with the maintenance, management and development of the Club’s Stadium pitches and surrounding landscaping ensuring impeccable presentation throughout.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all pitches meet the exceptional quality standards expected by Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
- Use of pedestrian and ride on equipment.
- Assist in the renovation of pitches and grass areas.
- Mark out pitches.
- Clean equipment and wash down areas.
- Monitor pitches on a daily basis, record all appropriate information and act promptly to resolve issues.
- Take reasonable care concerning own health and safety and that of persons who may be affected by the performance of these duties.
- Ensure equipment and materials are available when required.
- Keep all equipment and materials in good condition.
- Keep up to date of all relevant industry developments.
- Undertake any other duties designated by your Line Manager to ensure the smooth running of all operational aspects of the business.
- Able to work across multiple sites if required.
- Assist with the Club’s Stadium transitions into multi-use events.
- To work weekend days and bank holidays on a five working day in seven rota, including working late nights on occasions in varying weather conditions.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
- Thinks ahead, generates innovative ideas.
- Values & respects others, builds relationships, collaborates.
- Gets things done, delivers to highest of standards, takes responsibility.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
- Spraying certificates PA1, 2 and 6 desirable.
- Previous experience of using a wide range of turf care equipment.
- Stadium experience desirable.
