The Role
We’re currently recruiting a Senior Partnerships Manager to manage regional and women’s partnerships to help us take things to the next level. The role of the Senior Partnerships Manager is the day-to-day account direction and relationship management with each of the partners and suppliers in his or her pillar, working into a Partnership Lead with the support of a Partnership Exec. The role will require working with each partner to develop partnership activation plans that support and integrate with the partner’s overall brand and marketing objectives.
About You
- Women’s and regional partnership consultant for all partners and suppliers
- To be an interface between partners and suppliers and all other areas of the Club
- Ensure Club colleagues across the business have a thorough understanding of partners including both their brand positioning and product ranges
- To develop and deliver high profile and best in class product/brand marketing campaigns and detailed marketing and partnership activation plans
- If applicable, to oversee and work with the partners and suppliers on effective digital activations and content creation that generate reach and engagement
- To work with Club colleagues on effective budgeting processes for the department
- To support the partnership lead on partnership renewal processes
- To work with Club colleagues to implement research and measurement programmes that demonstrate return on partner investment and communicate those results through effective storytelling
- Assess rights tracking and rights packages on an ongoing basis, looking at additional packages of rights that would command additional fees
- To maintain a thorough understanding of the sports sponsorship marketplace to ensure the Club is fully informed of industry trends and well placed to maximise related opportunities
- Support the Club in achieving its overall objectives, including EDI
- Due to the nature of the industry and the role, some out-of-office hours work would be required from time to time including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
What you will bring
- Demonstrable marketing background
- Experience in partnerships activation either at an agency, rights holder or a brand active in the sports sponsorship sector
- Experience of managing a rights delivery programme, preferably in a sporting rights environment
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients alike
- Extensive account and project management experience including a track record of working cross functionally
- Proven operational and team management experience
- An understanding of brand marketing and the marketing mix
- Commercially minded with an understanding of commercial contracts and experience of building and managing budgets
- Excellent understanding of the sports sponsorship landscape including in strategically important regions such as Asia and North America
- Able to travel occasionally with regular weekend work
- A passion for sport, entertainment and events
- Excellent Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote skills are advantageous
