Job Purpose

To provide high quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation skills to aid players perform at their best. Support Medical Team with day-to-day responsibilities to maximise player availability for the Head coach in preparing players daily for training.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide daily medical diagnosis, treatment and rehab.
  • Organise scans and external treatment when required.
  • Matchday cover as required.
  • To create successful and professional relationships with staff whilst maintaining professional distance from playing staff at all times.
  • Comfortable working with the full spectrum of injuries you would expect in women’s high-performance environment.
  • Play an active role in the delivery of recovery sessions following games.
  • Keep accurate medical records using a computerised notes system.
  • Attend daily medical meetings and contribute effectively with the wider team.
  • Promote anti-doping policies in line with WADA.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

  • Have a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
  • Act in accordance with the organisation’s safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
  • Be alert to signs of abuse, neglect, or safeguarding concerns and report these appropriately.

Specific Experience
  • A BSc or MSc degree level qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • CSP and HCPC Registered.
  • An extensive and up to date CPD portfolio.
  • Current and valid driving licence.
