The Role

We are currently recruiting a Digital Media Assistant within our Content department to help us grow our video and editorial content on both our website and app, as well as our social media platforms. The role’s responsibilities include…

  • To plan, create, curate and publish multimedia content across the website, app and SPURSPLAY plus social media channels
  • To play a key role in the creation, editing and publication of mobile-first video content
  • To devise, write and publish articles and other content on the Club’s website and app, as well as our official matchday programme
  • To produce content covering our Men and Women’s First Teams as well as Academy sides
  • To work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as per the season calendar, attending and covering Club fixtures and events on a rotational basis, home & away, including Men and Women’s First Team, Under-21 and Under-18s’ matches
  • To provide support on content initiatives across the wider department when required

What you will bring

  • A passion for content creation and an excellent knowledge of football
  • Proven experience working within a content team – within a football environment would be advantageous but not essential
  • Base level knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Premiere Pro and Photoshop) would be advantageous but not essential
  • A strong understanding of different video formats and social media content within football
  • Digitally savvy with a strong understanding of social media channels – knowledge of CMS systems would be advantageous but not essential
  • A keen eye for detail and a story with strong editorial skills and judgement
  • A proactive planner who thinks ahead, can communicate clearly and effectively, and work to tight deadlines
  • A team player with a desire to learn, develop and push themselves within a determined and ambitious environment
