The Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Operations Associate to support our Finance and Revenue Operations team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone eager to learn about billing processes, financial systems, and customer account management. You will assist in invoice tracking, payment applications, and reporting across our Workday and Salesforce systems, playing a key role in keeping customer billing accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help ensure invoices in Workday match the correct customer accounts and orders from Salesforce
  • Assist with checking invoice details to avoid errors when updates or adjustments are made

Payment Application:

  • Learn to identify un-applied payments and assist in assigning them correctly to updated invoices
  • Support the application of credits and refunds after invoice changes or cancellations

Sales and Order Coordination:

  • Assist in matching new sales in Salesforce with existing customer accounts to ensure a complete billing picture

Reporting & Monitoring:

  • Run basic reports in Workday and Salesforce to help identify billing issues (e.g., payments not applied or credits not used)
  • Flag discrepancies or missing information for review by senior team members

Training and Development:

  • Participate in training sessions to understand internal billing workflows and best practices
  • Collaborate with senior team members to continuously improve process knowledge

Systems You’ll Use:

  • Workday (for invoice management and payments)
  • Salesforce (for customer and sales order information)

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn complex systems
  • Basic understanding of customer accounts, invoices, and payments
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • No prior Workday or Salesforce experience required, training will be provided
