Job Purpose
Tottenham Hotspur is looking for a Salesforce Marketing Technology Lead to own the technical platform management of Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Engagement, Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP). This role is critical to maximise platform capability and ensure the technology stack effectively supports business teams in delivering personalised, data‑driven customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Ownership & Architecture
- Own the technical configuration and optimisation of Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Engagement, and MCP, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise architecture and data strategy.
- Maintain scalable solution architecture across the Salesforce ecosystem, including system configurations, business units, and environments.
- Support platform upgrades, releases, and environment management.
- Troubleshoot platform issues and manage incidents.
- Monitor platform performance and maintain audit logs, monitoring, and access controls.
- Data Integration & Management
- Design and manage data ingestion pipelines, including transformation, modelling and unification in Data Cloud.
- Oversee identity resolution, data modelling, and audience creation frameworks.
- Manage activation pipelines and synchronisation processes.
- Implement and maintain identity resolution and audience data structures.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability.
- Marketing Cloud Enablement
- Build and maintain platform solutions, including automated workflows, SQL queries, APIs, integrations, and data processes.
- Develop reusable data pipelines and automation frameworks to support dynamic, reusable audience models.
- Oversee real‑time, event‑driven processes across systems.
- Build and maintain custom solutions using AMPScript, SQL, SSJS, and APIs.
- Personalization & Real‑Time Decisioning
- Partner with digital/product teams to enable integrated personalization and CRO campaigns across web and app.
- Enable real‑time data flows and event ingestion between MCP and Data Cloud.
- Configure and maintain user profiles, attributes, and behavioural data models.
- Manage data capture and event tracking across digital channels.
- Support Sitemap, template and data feed development as required.
- Cross‑Functional Enablement & Governance
- Act as a key partner to CRM, Marketing, Digital, and Service teams and enable platform capabilities.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and scalable designs.
- Support onboarding of users and new use cases involving platform‑level or custom solutions.
- Stay current with Salesforce capabilities and drive continuous innovation.
- Define and enforce platform best practices and standards with end users.
Skills & Knowledge
- Salesforce certifications (Marketing Cloud/Data Cloud) desirable.
- Strong knowledge of developing on Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, including configuring automations, AMPScript, SSJS, and configuring APIs integrations.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud Personalization development including working with sitemap, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working with Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) or equivalent customer data platforms including expertise in data management and segmentation.
- Strong knowledge of advanced SQL and data modelling experience.
- Familiarity with working with Salesforce core platform (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud).
- Understanding of customer data, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing use cases.
- Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI desirable.
- Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimisation desirable.
