Role Purpose
We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Player Care Officer to deliver world‑class support to first‑team players, their families, the Head Coach, and the wider coaching staff. This is a high‑trust, relationship‑driven role operating at the heart of an elite football environment. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of player and coaching staff welfare, lifestyle management, relocation, logistics, and day‑to‑day operational support, ensuring a seamless experience on and off the pitch. The role requires emotional intelligence, discretion, exceptional organisation, and the ability to perform calmly in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure football environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Player & Family Care
- Serve as the primary point of contact for first‑team players and their families for all off‑pitch support matters
- Coordinate international relocations, housing, schooling, banking, healthcare, visas, and local registrations
- Support players’ partners and families with settling into the local area and club environment
- Assist with cultural integration and lifestyle management for international players and coaching staff
- Coordinate family travel and hospitality arrangements for matches and club events
- Build trusted relationships with players and families while maintaining absolute confidentiality and professionalism
- Head Coach & Coaching Staff Support
- Provide high‑level operational and lifestyle support to the First Team Head Coach and coaching staff
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, itineraries, restaurants, transport, and personal logistics
- Assist with onboarding of new coaches and coaching staff
- Support the coaching department during domestic and international fixtures, tours, and pre‑season camps
- Act as a reliable liaison between football operations, coaching staff, and external service providers
- Football Operations & Logistics
- Coordinate first‑team travel logistics including flights, hotels, visas, security, and ground transport
- Support matchday operations and training ground logistics
- Work closely with team operations, medical, security, and performance departments
- Partner with the Football Administration team in relation to the onboarding of coaching staff with regards to all related compliance documents and processes
- Manage confidential schedules, documentation, and operational plans
- Assist during transfer windows with onboarding and integration of new signings
- Welfare & Wellbeing
- Promote player wellbeing and provide support during periods of injury, transition, relocation, or personal difficulty
- Identify and elevate safeguarding or welfare concerns where appropriate
- Coordinate wellbeing initiatives and family engagement activities
- Support younger and newly transferred players transitioning into elite football environments
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with agents, family offices, schools, relocation providers, private healthcare providers and other service providers as needed
- Liaise professionally with Premier League officials, embassies, and governing bodies where necessary
- Maintain exceptional service standards representative of a world‑class football club
