The Role
- To collaborate with the Lead Academy Recruitment Analyst to help achieve the goals and vision of the Academy Recruitment Department.
- Play a key role in identifying and highlighting top talent across various age groups to THFC, contributing directly to the Academy’s recruitment processes.
- Support the club’s recruitment strategy by delivering high quality performance analysis, data insight and video content throughout all levels of the Academy.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Video Analysis
- Compile video footage by clipping and analysing key actions in line with the club’s position specific profiling requirements.
- Maintain and regularly update player databases in all relevant areas to ensure video evidence is organised and easily accessible.
- Use video telestration software to generate position specific videos of target players.
Performance insight
- Create visually engaging video content for recruitment meetings and trialist reviews.
- Analyse performance data and produce objective information on targeted players to support an evidence-based approach.
- Highlight key video evidence utilising the Academy’s video library to showcase the development pathway.
Cross-departmental collaboration
- Work closely with scouts and coaches to contextualise player actions with video evidence and tactical insight aligned to the Academy’s playing methodology.
- Support members of the Academy Recruitment department with the use of new technology and processes.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with other recruitment analysts.

What you will bring
Essential – Qualifications and Skills
- Experience of working in professional football in an analysis, scouting or recruitment role.
- Undergraduate degree in performance analysis or sports related field.
- Proficiency in video analysis tools (Hudl Sportscode Suite, Wyscout, Final Cut Pro).
- Excellent observational skills and an eye for identifying talent.
- IT literate across all required platforms (Excel, Powerpoint, Keynote).
- Strong organisational and effective time management skills.
- Ability to deal with day to day issues on own initiative.
- Experience of working to deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
Desirable Requirements – Qualifications and Skills
- Postgraduate degree in a sports related course
- Familiarity with data platforms or interest in AI tools.
- FA Talent ID Level 2 or above.
