Totley Primary School is a happy, thriving school providing high quality education both in the classroom and throughout a wide range of extra-curricular activities. We are very proud of our children and believe they should perform well academically and develop as people. Our outstanding school covers the ages 4-11 and is two-form entry accommodating approximately 425 children. The school is in the suburb of Totley in South Sheffield on the edge of the Peak District.
The role: We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled HLTA to join our hardworking and supportive team for a fixed term contract from 3 November 2025 to 29 March 2026. The role can be for either four days (26 hours) or five days (32.5 hours) per week. This is negotiable for the right candidate. The role will be varied and will include covering classes, supporting teachers within a classroom, and leading interventions.
The candidate: The successful candidate should be enthusiastic and knowledgeable, keen to work in partnership with current staff and able to work under instruction as well as having the ability to use their initiative. They will challenge and excite our children and have the ability to consistently deliver high quality learning experiences. Imaginative and committed, they should have passion for the role, high standards of professionalism, and high expectations of the children. They will have the vision, enthusiasm, and drive to build on the strong foundations that already exist within the school.
