Totec Recruitment has been established for over 50 years within the Engineering Recruitment Industry building long-standing client relationships, gaining market knowledge, and delivering results. We are now aiming to branch into other industries.

We are looking for an ambitious, sales-driven Recruitment Consultant to join the team and take ownership of their own desk. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenge of winning new business, developing client accounts, and building a successful recruitment market from the ground up.

The Role

This is a full 360 recruitment role with a strong focus on sales and developing new business. You will be responsible for building and managing your own desk, developing new client relationships, generating vacancies, and managing the full recruitment process from start to finish. You’ll have the freedom to grow your market, backed by the support and reputation of an established business with over five decades of success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow your own recruitment desk and market sector
  • Win new business through proactive sales activity and networking
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and candidates
  • Generate vacancies and manage client accounts
  • Source, screen, and place candidates into suitable roles
  • Negotiate fees, rates, and offers with clients and candidates
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from business development to placement
  • Consistently achieve and exceed sales and billing targets

What We’re Looking For

  • Temp/Perm recruitment and strong B2B sales experience
  • Proven ability to win new business and build relationships
  • Commercially driven with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Motivated by targets, commission, and career progression
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and organised
  • Someone who wants to build a successful desk and make a real impact
