The predicted salary is between 47000 - 53000 £ per year.
You will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing and delivering long-term strategic partnerships that bring external organisations closer to Cancer Research UK's mission. Working closely with the Partnerships and Philanthropy teams, you'll help to create and grow high-value corporate and wider partnerships that deliver meaningful impact beyond income generation. You will focus on translating complex Policy, Information & Communications (PIC) activity into compelling and inspiring partnership opportunities, enabling fundraisers and potential partners to connect with CRUK's work in innovative ways.
Main Responsibilities
- Have a clear overview of the activity and strategic priorities in Policy, Information & Communications (PIC) and identify appropriate PIC opportunities for Partnerships and major donors.
- Act as a consultant, working collaboratively with relevant colleagues across teams to identify and build PIC funding and/or strategic opportunities for both existing and new partnerships.
- Working in conjunction with the PIC directors and heads, and relevant Partnerships teams to facilitate the identification of strategic partnership and funding opportunities within PIC.
- Provide oversight to delivery of key health partnerships including if required providing targeted partnerships delivery management.
- Provide functional management of the health partnerships manager.
- Build excellent senior relationships externally, both with partners and other charities, providing direction and managing escalations for delivery of health partnerships; this may include stewardship of key senior external stakeholders for a small number of partners.
- Use effective communication skills and subject expertise to shape and deliver pitches with partners bringing our PIC work to life.
- Accountable for robust tracking, measurement and impact reporting of core purpose PIC partnerships, reporting back to the business as required.

- Experience in delivering mutually beneficial partnerships with tangible successes.
- A strong communicator with ability to inspire and engage a range of stakeholders with ideas and information.
- Comfortable operating at a senior level and working collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to balance risks and opportunities and advise peers and senior stakeholders appropriately in decision making.
- Able to think creatively and produce engaging content in order to develop new ideas and obtain buy in from a range of stakeholders.
- Significant experience of influencing multiple stakeholders and communicating effectively and engagingly both internally and externally.
- Sound understanding of the area of corporate partnerships and the needs of fundraising.
