The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) is the independent regulator for nurses and midwives across the UK, and nursing associates in England, protecting the public by promoting high standards and supporting confidence in the professions. As one of the UK’s largest healthcare regulators, we rely on high‑quality insight and intelligence to shape effective regulation, strengthen public protection, and understand the experiences of the people and professionals we serve.

You will also play a critical role in our intelligence work, from risk assessment and information‑sharing frameworks to our responsibilities as a prescribed body for whistleblowing.
Working closely with senior leaders, regulatory partners and internal teams, you will champion the value of insight across the organisation and drive improvements in how we gather, analyse and communicate evidence.

- Strong command of research and analytical methods, with expertise in intelligence‑sharing frameworks.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to both specialist and non‑specialist audiences.
- A proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, drive improvement and innovation, and manage multiple workstreams effectively.
