At Totalmobile, technology isn’t just something we build—it’s something that genuinely transforms how essential services are delivered in the real world. Every day, over 500,000 mobile workers rely on our Field First platform to do their jobs more efficiently, supporting more than 1,000 organisations across the UK and Ireland. Behind that impact is a growing team of 400+ people, all working towards a shared goal: to continually evolve our product suite and push the boundaries of what’s possible with data, analytics, and AI.
As we continue to scale, we’re investing heavily in platforms that connect everything—and that’s where Unity comes in. Imagine a platform that sits at the centre of everything—connecting products, standardising experiences, and enabling teams to build faster, smarter, and more consistently. That’s Unity. The Unity team operates at the heart of Totalmobile, shaping how our products interact and evolve. Their mission is to simplify complexity by creating common models, shared interfaces, and a standardised integration framework. They’re redefining how identity is handled across our ecosystem while bringing consistency to design and user experience. It’s a team that doesn’t just maintain systems—it defines how the entire platform fits together.
The Role We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants more than just another feature delivery role. This is an opportunity to work on highly visible, platform-level engineering challenges where your ideas and designs will influence multiple products across the business. In this role, you’ll take ownership of designing, building, and deploying scalable solutions across a variety of projects. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders, helping shape both the technical direction and the delivery of new capabilities. You’ll also spend time exploring new approaches, refining designs, and continuously improving how we build—because in Unity, innovation isn’t a side task, it’s part of the job.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, designing systems, and seeing your work have a broad impact, this is the kind of role where you can really make your mark. You bring a strong foundation in software engineering, backed by experience and curiosity. You’ve likely spent at least five years building and delivering solutions, and along the way, you’ve developed deep expertise in C# and .NET within cloud-based environments like Azure. Above all, you’re someone who enjoys learning. Technology evolves quickly, and you’re motivated to stay ahead of it.
Desired Skills You understand the value of quality and speed, with exposure to automated testing and CI/CD practices. Familiarity with modern .NET frameworks such as .NET Core or .NET 8+ will help you hit the ground running, and experience with identity management technologies—particularly Azure Entra—will set you apart in a role that touches authentication and platform integration at scale. But more important than ticking every box is your ability to think holistically about systems and how they connect.
Why Join? This is a role for engineers who want to step beyond isolated development work and into something more impactful. You’ll be working on a platform that influences every part of the business, in an environment that combines the stability of a growing company with the energy and variety of a team constantly building something new. You’ll gain exposure across multiple products, work alongside experienced engineers, and develop skills that go beyond coding—into design, architecture, and strategy. And importantly, you’ll be part of a culture that values collaboration, flexibility, and the reality that great work happens when people are supported both inside and outside of it.
Here at Totalmobile, we want our employees to feel valued, appreciated, and free to be who they are at work. We are committed to an inclusive workforce that fully represents diverse cultures, backgrounds, and viewpoints. We are dedicated to supporting inclusion and diversity at Totalmobile. We actively celebrate colleagues’ diverse abilities, sexual orientations, ethnicities, faiths, and genders. Everyone is welcome and supported in their development at all stages in the journey with us.
