Our workforce rostering solution, Organise, plays a vital role in the blue light sector, ensuring that emergency service workers are in the right place, at the right time—supporting the infrastructure that saves lives.
The Challenge: We are embarking on an exciting digital transformation, moving Organise from on-premises storage to a Cloud-based SaaS model while modernising the technology stack. As part of this transformation, we are transitioning from legacy technologies to C#, .NET Core, and React. To support this journey, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to play a key role in this process.
Your role: In this role, you will maintain and enhance the existing VB.NET codebase while contributing to the migration to modern technologies. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, QA, and DevOps, to ensure seamless development and delivery. Additionally, you will work extensively with SQL Server, creating and optimising complex Stored Procedures and Functions to support a high-performing application.
Skills and Experience: We are looking for an experienced VB.NET developer with at least five years of commercial experience. You should have strong expertise in SQL Server and a deep understanding of software development principles. Experience with WinForms, WebForms, C#, or Azure cloud technologies would be a bonus, as would previous involvement in large-scale software migrations.
