What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out site visits when required, producing layouts, and liaising directly with clients to understand their needs.
- Managing incoming enquiries, producing accurate take-offs, and preparing cost estimates for a variety of mechanical installations.
- Compiling tender submissions with precise and competitive pricing.
- Identifying opportunities for value engineering and suggesting cost-effective alternatives without compromising on quality.
- Working closely with project managers to build strong, competitive bids.
- Sourcing supplier and subcontractor quotations, and negotiating to secure the best terms.
About You
- Experience in an estimating role within the mechanical contracting sector.
- Confident in reading drawings, preparing take-offs, and producing accurate costings.
- Able to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and supply chain partners.
- Skilled at negotiating with suppliers/subcontractors to achieve best value.
