What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out site visits when required, producing layouts, and liaising directly with clients to understand their needs
- Managing incoming enquiries, producing accurate take-offs, and preparing cost estimates for a variety of mechanical installations
- Compiling tender submissions with precise and competitive pricing
- Identifying opportunities for value engineering and suggesting cost-effective alternatives without compromising on quality
- Working closely with project managers to build strong, competitive bids
- Sourcing supplier and subcontractor quotations, and negotiating to secure the best terms
About You
- Experience in an estimating role within the mechanical contracting sector
- Confident in reading drawings, preparing take-offs, and producing accurate costings
- Able to communicate clearly with clients, colleagues, and supply chain partners
- Skilled at negotiating with suppliers/subcontractors to achieve best value
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to balance multiple deadlines
