Are you an experienced HGV or PCV Mechanic looking for your next career opportunity? Totally Recruitment Group Ltd are currently recruiting for several skilled HGV & PCV Mechanics to join the Service Department of a highly respected and successful manufacturer based in Droitwich, Worcestershire. Our client is the UK's largest and one of the most successful manufacturers of vehicle transporters, roadside rescue vehicles and heavy recovery equipment. Due to continued growth within their Service Department, they are looking to expand their experienced team.

The Role

As an HGV/PCV Mechanic, you will play an important role in delivering a first-class after-sales service to customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles and trailers
  • Working across all makes of commercial vehicles
  • Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
  • Ensuring all work is completed to VOSA standards
  • Working safely and taking appropriate care of customer vehicles while on site
  • Liaising with the Parts Department to obtain the required components
  • Following all Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
  • Completing job cards, service sheets and relevant documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised workshop
  • Keeping your technical knowledge up to date and attending relevant training courses

Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working within a commercial vehicle workshop
  • A recognised technical qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ, or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of commercial vehicles
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Desirable, but not essential:

  • HGV Licence
  • PCV Licence
