Totally Recruitment Group Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver / Labourer to join a well-established and successful commercial vehicle business based in Droitwich, Worcestershire. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional driver who enjoys variety, is confident handling different types of commercial vehicles and takes pride in delivering a safe and reliable service.
The Role
The main responsibility of the role will be to safely collect and deliver a wide range of new and used commercial vehicles throughout the UK and Europe. Your duties will include:
- Collecting and delivering various types of commercial vehicles
- Driving vehicles using trade plates
- Ensuring all vehicles are transported safely and securely
- Operating vehicle transporters and low loaders where required
- Supporting the Production and Service Centre teams with the movement of vehicles around the site
- Ensuring vehicles are positioned efficiently to support the smooth running of operations
- Carrying out vehicle movements safely and responsibly
- Assisting with general site duties when required
- Supporting occasional low-level maintenance and site activities
- Maintaining a professional attitude when dealing with customers and colleagues
- Ensuring all relevant company procedures and Health & Safety requirements are followed
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Minimum 2 years' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- A responsible and safety-conscious approach to driving
- Good communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
- FLT licence
- Experience operating low loaders
- Experience using vehicle transporters
- Previous experience transporting commercial vehicles
- Experience working within a commercial vehicle, transport or engineering environment
