The successful candidate will be an integral part of the companys Construction and Fit Out Department, assisting the Senior Team over several projects.

The Role: Experience in the interpretation of designs and tender documentation, preparing commercially viable tender estimates, on private, public and Design & Build projects.
Pro-active development of positive working relationships with key players including existing clients, works specifiers, architects, consultancies, building companies and developers Managing costs and cash flow on projects, including preparation of valuations, dealing with variations, and final account preparations and reporting regularly on project financial status.
Sub-contractor procurement including contract terms, rates, appointments and adherence to contract conditions.
Overseeing and coordinating the identification, initiation and fulfillment of any necessary contractual claims or disputes and coordinating documented back up information.
Conducting procurement management to maximize purchasing power and supplier discounts.
Additional functions relative to ensuring efficient delivery of the project from commencement to completion.
Essential criteria Third level Quantity Surveying degree or HNC qualification Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in Quantity Surveying/ and contract project management.
Commercial knowledge of the Building Contracting market place.
NEC Contract experience Commercial acumen incl.
cost awareness and focus on profitability Ability to analyze complex commercial contracts and prepare cost-effective planning proposals Good decision making and problem-solving skills Computer literate on office applications and project management software.
Results focused with ability to work on own initiative Available to work flexible hours and to travel as necessary within the UK & Ireland Desirable criteria Preferably 5+ years experience in a Main Contracting environment Remuneration offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
