TOTALIS Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician to support the delivery of construction, fit-out, and facilities management projects across the UK and Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, updating design documentation, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring all drawings meet industry and company standards. This role requires strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 2D technical drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
- Interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, and construction drawings.
- Amend and update existing drawings based on project revisions and site feedback.
- Prepare as-built drawings and technical documentation.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure design accuracy.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, regulations, and health & safety requirements.
- Maintain drawing registers and document control systems.
- Assist with surveys, measurements, and site visits where required.
- Support project teams during planning, installation, and handover stages.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D drafting essential).
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar CAD Technician / AutoCAD Technician role.
- Experience within construction, fit-out, building services, or facilities management environments.
- Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and conventions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
- Experience using Revit or BIM software.
- Knowledge of M&E systems and construction processes.
- Site surveying experience.
- Understanding of UK building regulations and compliance standards.
- Full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- HNC/HND or relevant qualification in CAD, Engineering, Construction, or Design.
- AutoCAD certification preferred but not essential.
- Relevant industry training or technical qualifications advantageous.
