A Waste & Recycling Processing Specialist is required to manage a team of production staff at a high output plant.

SALARY: Negotiable Circa £48-50K plus benefits

LOCATION: You will live in the South Lancashire, North Cheshire or Merseyside area

ROLE: You will lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the plant, delivering daily production to required quality, volume and customer standards. You will drive performance through KPIs and data, own quality control, and champion Health, Safety and Environmental excellence across all activities. You will coordinate closely with contracts, logistics and customers to manage deliveries, resolve operational issues and maintain strong senior-level relationships. You will identify and manage operational and contractual risks, lead and develop the operations team, and plan maintenance to maximise plant availability. You will control budgets, optimise resources and implement continuous improvement to reduce waste, enhance efficiency and support cost-effective operations.

EXPERIENCE: You will have 3+ years’ experience managing waste, quarry or aggregates processing/production type operations (collections or waste transfer focussed backgrounds not considered). You will be a strong man manager and have a UK Driving Licence.

QUALIFICATIONS: COTC/WAMITAB Level 4, NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent, Full UK Driving Licence.
