WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING TRANSFER STATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST REQUIRED TO DRIVE OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE ACROSS FACILITIES IN THE MIDLANDS AND SOUTH OF ENGLAND.
MAIN PACKAGE: Negotiable Circa £63-67K, Car / Allowance, Bonus.
BENEFITS: Enhanced Pension, Personal Healthcare, 2x DIS, 25 days holiday (rising to 27).
LOCATION: Regional, South of Birmingham & East of Cardiff, good motorway access.
ROLE: You align operational excellence initiatives with the wider business strategy, standardising processes across all depots to ensure consistency and compliance. You design and deliver training on new procedures, identify improvement opportunities, and oversee audits to highlight gaps and drive corrective action. You provide targeted support to underperforming depots, monitor the impact of new initiatives, and refine processes based on performance data. You establish clear metrics and dashboards to track operational effectiveness, while leading change management and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and industry standards.
EXPERIENCE: You will either hold a valid COTC / WAMITAB level 4 qualification, be currently training, or have an expired one that required a refresher. You will have substantial experience in running waste transfer operations and have multiple examples of operational improvements you have made. (Please note Depot Managers with dotted line responsibility for transfer will not be considered).
Useful qualifications & experience: IOSH or NEBOSH, ILM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Lean.
