We are looking for an experienced and motivated Dough Production Specialist to join a fast-paced continuous manufacturing environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled bakery professional who thrives on maintaining high-quality standards, driving operational excellence, and supporting team development.

Hours: 8-5pm Monday to Friday

30 days holiday and profit share

Location: Northallerton

You will play a key role in managing live fermented dough systems, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining exceptional product quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage live fermented dough systems within a continuous manufacturing environment over multiple days.
  • Maintain output, quality, and consistency across the production line to ensure daily production plans are achieved.
  • Ensure all products meet QAS standards for weight, size, bake profile, and overall appearance.
  • Identify, highlight, and communicate production issues promptly while liaising with management where required.
  • Monitor dough performance and make adjustments to maintain optimum production efficiency.
  • Support smooth day-to-day bakery operations while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
Team Development & Leadership
  • Coach and mentor team members on dough production and dough management techniques.
  • Support cross-training initiatives to improve flexibility and knowledge sharing within the production team.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within dough production and production line operations.
  • Lead or contribute to improvement projects that enhance efficiency, consistency, and product quality.
Product Development Support
  • Assist with future new product development projects that utilise bakery and baking expertise.
  • Work collaboratively with operational and development teams to trial and implement new products.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience working with fermented dough systems in a bakery manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of dough handling, fermentation, and baking processes.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring or training team members is highly desirable.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
