EXPERIENCED HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR, WITH STRONG HEALTH AND SAFETY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR MULTISITE OPERATION IN THE WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING SECTOR.
SALARY: £42,500 plus pension
LOCATION: North West – you may be located in Chester, Wrexham, Mold, Ruthin and surrounding areas.

YOU WILL HAVE WORKED IN A SECTOR WITH MECHANICAL MATERIAL PROCESSING SUCH AS:
- Waste Management
- Recycling
- Aggregates
- Quarry
- Landfill
- Anaerobic Digestion
- In-Vessel Composting
- Skip Hire
ROLE:
- Previous experience in an HSEQ, HSE, SHEQ, or similar compliance-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation.
- Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organisation.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working within recycling, waste management, metals recovery, manufacturing, or other industrial environments.
- Previous experience working with or alongside EA or Natural Resources Wales.
- Knowledge of environmental permitting regulations.
- IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- WAMITAB qualification or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
