EXPERIENCED WASTE & RECYCLING OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR / YARD MANAGER REQUIRED TO OVERSEE A PRODUCTION TEAM AND SUPPORT THE OPERATIONS MANAGER AT A BUSY SITE.

SALARY: £33-39,000 plus benefits, Mon-Fri days

LOCATION: West Birmingham

ROLE:

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, managing staff, allocating tasks, and ensuring all work and documentation is completed safely, compliantly, and on time.
  • Support the Site Manager with planning, toolbox talks, reporting, and daily briefings.
  • Proactively manage Health & Safety, PPE compliance, and environmental standards.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and LOLER requirements are met.
  • Oversee compliant loading, offloading, waste segregation, and weighing processes.
  • Manage visitors and contractors through inductions and safety checks.
  • Monitor on-site issues, liaise with operatives and transport teams, identify process improvements.
  • Ensure all bulk transfer and TFS shipments meet regulatory and documentation standards.

EXPERIENCE:

  • You MUST have experience managing or supervising a team in an Industrial, Chemicals, Foundry, Waste, Recycling, Quarrying or similar type environment.
  • You will be a hands-on individual willing to chip in where required.
  • Useful qualifications: COTC / WAMITAB, NEBOSH or IOSH, Chemistry.
  • You will have a UK Driving Licence.
