FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD THE NON-FERROUS METALS SALES FUNCTION, DRIVING PROFITABLE GROWTH BY DEVELOPING CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS, SETTING PRICING STRATEGIES, AND ENSURING COMPLIANT, HIGH-QUALITY SALES.
LOCATION: North West England
SALARY: £100,000 - £105,000 Company vehicle or car allowance, pension
You will have worked in METAL RECYCLING in one of these functions: Scrap Metal Commercial Manager, Field Sales Executive, BDM, Business Development Executive, FSE, Non-Ferrous Metals Trader, Business Development Manager, BDE, Sales Manager, Head of Non-Ferrous Metals.
Key Focus Areas:- Sales & Growth: Build and execute sales strategy, expand customer base (mills, smelters, traders), and grow domestic/export markets.
- Pricing & Commercial Management: Set competitive pricing aligned with market conditions (e.g. LME), manage margins, stock, and financial risk.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure product specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Operations, Transport, Finance, and HSEQ to align supply, logistics, and sales.
- Market Insight & Reporting: Track market trends, competitor activity, and provide performance reporting.
- Customer Management: Build long-term relationships, manage contracts, and maintain high service standards.
- Strong experience in non-ferrous metals trading/sales
- Knowledge of pricing (LME), grades, and global markets
- Commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Understanding of compliance and export regulations
- You must have a full UK Driving Licence
