An experienced Waste & Recycling Operations Manager is required to lead a production team at a fast-paced processing site in South Yorkshire.

Salary: £60k - £65k + Car allowance £6k, Pension

Location: South Yorkshire

The Role

As Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy waste management or recycling facility. Key duties include:

  • Overseeing the intake, processing, and dispatch of waste materials
  • Ensuring all plant and equipment are properly maintained and operational
  • Maintaining compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality standards
  • Managing, motivating, and developing a team of production staff
  • Supporting commercial activities and contributing to overall business performance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Proven experience managing a waste processing or recycling site although not essential
  • A background working with materials such as biomass, wood waste, scrap metal, plastics, construction/demolition waste, composting, landfill, aggregates, anaerobic digestion, MRF/MBT operations, or other heavy industry
  • Desirable: A relevant qualification such as COTC/WAMITAB (training can be provided if required)
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification
  • A full UK driving license
