We are recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to run a busy waste recycling site. This is a hands-on role managing high-volume waste processing, plant operations, and site teams.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 DOE + Pension
Location: Abingdon, South Oxford and surrounding area
You will take full operational responsibility for the intake, processing, recovery, and outbound logistics of materials such as hardcore, concrete, soils, wood, metals, and mixed skip waste, ensuring maximum recovery and recycling performance.
- Ensure equipment is maintained
- Ensure Environmental, H&S and Quality compliance
- Manage a team of production staff
Qualifications:
- COTC / WAMITAB Level 4 (essential or working towards)
- NEBOSH or IOSH (highly desirable)
- Full UK Driving Licence
You will have supervised or managed a waste processing site e.g. Biomass, Wood Waste, Scrap Metal, Waste Plastics, Construction Waste, Demolition Waste, Open Windrow Composting, Landfill, Recycled Aggregates, In-Vessel Composting, Anaerobic Digestion, Dry Mixed Recycling, Clinical Waste, MBT, MRF, Transfer Station, Green Waste.
