EXPERIENCED HAZARDOUS WASTE SITE CHEMIST OR MOBILE CHEMIST, TO UNDERTAKE HAZPAK / CHEMPAC DUTIES ACROSS THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND.
LOCATION: This is a mobile role covering the south for a national company. You will be South of the M6 / A14, and North of the M4 / Thames or very close to those extremes.
SALARY: Up to £36,000, based on years in sector plus Van, Bonus, Expenses.
IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE HAZARDOUS WASTE INDUSTRY AS A:
- Reception Chemist
- Site Chemist
- Technical Assessor
- Chempac or Hazpak Chemist
- Mobile Chemist
ROLE: The role is responsible for coordinating the collection of hazardous waste from client sites, ensuring suitable packaging materials are available, and maintaining full compliance with UK legislation and Health & Safety regulations. Key responsibilities include assessing, segregating, labelling, and packaging hazardous waste, preparing accurate documentation, and maintaining up-to-date records of waste awaiting disposal. The role also involves the safe loading, handling, and transportation of waste using appropriate manual handling and lifting equipment.
EXPERIENCE: To be considered you must have worked for a UK based hazardous waste company in a site or mobile chemist role. Knowledge of hazardous waste or environmental regulations. Strong organisational and record-keeping skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
