Service Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The Service Engineer works as part of a team within Motion-Go, by TVS Interfleet and has responsibility for the service, maintenance and repair of vehicles, both at Wisbech and customer sites as required. The job holder is expected to interact with the customer in order to complete the fault & diagnostic investigation.
Responsibilities
- To ensure the maintenance and repair of vehicles within the workshop
- To support the maintenance and repair of both contract and customer vehicles at appropriate customer sites when requested
- To ensure the accurate assembly of appropriate equipment to heavy goods vehicles and trailers to customer build specifications
- To ensure that all jobs issued are completed within the given timescales
- To accurately complete and return each job card issued
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of the Health & Safety policy
- Ensure equality and diversity is actively promoted in the workplace
- Any other duty as directed by the Foreman
Experience, knowledge & skills -
Essential
- Ensure equality and diversity is actively promoted in the workplace
- HGV qualified Technicians
- Experience in working with blowers, tippers, flatbeds, cranes, tail-lifts and box vehicles. In summary, most vehicles that are on the road
- Proven ability to work off of own initiative
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence
Preferred
- Relevant engineering qualification
- Experience in a customer facing environment
- Class 1 or 2 HGV licence
- Own mechanical tools
- Experience in welding, including pipework
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
